There is a disturbing and deadly trend growing among world organizations and world leaders. They will not support or defend Israel against the most outrageous false claims and accusations. They will condemn and critique Israel at every opportunity and ignore the attacks and threats against the Jewish people. And sadly, we are seeing the same thing here in America.

Jewish people living in their ancient homelands of Judea and Samaria are referred to as “occupiers” by those who refuse to recognize Israel’s right to self-defense and self-determination. Israel is being pressured to sit down with terrorists who stated platform is the destruction of the Jewish state and negotiate peace. What folly!

Many voices are calling on Israel to hand over control of much of the Holy City of Jerusalem as part of a “path to peace.” This would mean placing the holiest sites of Christianity and Judaism under the control of Muslim extremists. The centrifuges in Iran continue to spin as the looming threat of nuclear war grows darker by the day. Terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hamas are operating on Israel’s borders within literal eyesight of the Jewish state. The sad reality is that much of the world is turning against Israel.

As the threats facing the Jewish people are growing more deadly by the day, the people of Israel increasingly feel isolated and alone. Each of us must make our choice how we will respond. Together you and I can send them a powerful message—that their Christian friends around the world have not forgotten or forsaken them…and that we NEVER will!

I’m Mike Evans, head of the Jerusalem Prayer Team and founder and CEO of the Friends of Zion Museum in Jerusalem. We are a global group of tens of millions of Believers who stand with and for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. Our purpose is to fulfill the Bible commands to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to bless the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Together we stand in defense and fervent prayer for Israel, but we also put feet to our prayers. Every day the Jerusalem Prayer Team is doing all that we can to defend Israel and rally Believers to support the Jewish people, both through their prayers and by speaking out on behalf of Israel. We are operating the first Christian Museum in the nation of Israel—a place where thousands of Jewish people come each day to see and hear the true story of Christian love…a place where they learn that they are not alone.

We are heavily involved in helping the Holocaust survivors of Israel. Nearly 180,000 of these precious people who endured such unspeakable horror are still alive, and many of them are living in desperate poverty without the food, medicine, and safe housing they need. We have renovated a massive bomb shelter in Jerusalem into a community center that offers free food and other aid. We are delivering food to over 3,000 Holocaust survivors in Israel each week.

Today I’m asking for your help with a special project. The truth is that most Jewish people do not believe that Christians love them. They have often been persecuted and even killed by those who claim to be following Jesus. When I was just four years old, my mother told me that Christians hate Jews! She lost many members of her family in the Holocaust.

We want to show the Jewish people that real Christians do love and care for them and that we are standing with them in the current crisis, so we are preparing a special Star of David Memorial display that we will exhibit in the Holy City of Jerusalem at the Friends of Zion Museum. We are asking friends to sponsor a small remembrance ribbon to represent their part in building this unique expression of support.

Today I’m asking you to respond so that we can place a ribbon in your honor to be part of this Star of David display as an expression of your love and care for God’s Chosen People. This is a prophetic moment when events foretold in Scripture are being fulfilled before our eyes…and an opportunity we must not miss.

It is heartbreaking to see an elderly Holocaust survivor who has endured so much suffering and pain having to struggle just to find enough food to eat, yet for thousands, that is the case.

It is dangerous to see the nations of the world align against God’s prophetic plan for His Chosen People and try to curse them by stealing the Bible lands from them.
