Stand with Those Who Defend Israel
I’m asking you to register your opinion because your voice matters.
The young men and women of the Israel Defense Force (IDF) are literally on the front line every day defending their country and their people. They are constantly under a threat of attack – as they are targeted by those who hate them and who are sworn to see the destruction of Israel.
Sadly, much of the world treats Israel as the problem. Jewish people living in their ancient homelands are referred to as “occupiers.” They blame the Jewish people for the hatred that is directed toward them. The members of the IDF are particularly demonized in the media as vicious soldiers taking inhumane and illegal action against helpless innocent victims.
Even in America, survey after survey shows that support for Israel is declining. More and more people are saying America should stop defending or helping Israel. Even churches and religious organizations are turning away from support for the Jewish people.
But I don’t think America should turn its back on the members of the IDF or the nation of Israel…and I don’t think you do either.
Each of us must make our choice how we will respond. Together you and I can send a powerful message that we reject the lies that are being spread about Israel and the members of IDF. We have not forgotten or forsaken the Jewish people, and we NEVER will!
I’m Dr. Mike Evans, and it is my privilege to lead the Jerusalem Prayer Team and the Friends of Zion Museum in Jerusalem. We are the largest group of Believers—tens of millions globally—praying for Israel and reaching out in love and compassion to bless and defend God’s Chosen People. We are on the ground in Israel to provide food, clothing, and other necessities of life as they struggle to overcome the physical, mental, and emotional scars of what they endured.
I personally have seen the terrible toll that the constant attacks have taken on the people of Israel and members of the IDF. I have visited with many in their homes and heard them tell me the stories of the PTSD they suffer because of the danger. I have wept with families in the hospital by the mangled bodies of their loved ones. I have stood by the graves as innocent victims were laid to rest. I can tell you the threat is real, and we cannot stand idly by.
The heroes of the land of Israel need to know that they are not alone. They need to know that they are prayed for and supported especially during this current crisis.
Every new IDF soldier comes to our Friends of Zion center in Jerusalem as part of their training. The names of those who sign this petition will be displayed at this center.
